Backflow Technician Re-Certification & Continuing Education |
If you are already a certified backflow tester, you may register for a one-day review.
This will satisfy your requirement of 5 hours of continuing education for renewal.
7:45 AM Registration 8:00 - 10:00 AM Lecture & Discussion 10:00 AM - Noon Lab 12:00 - 12:30 PM Lunch - (On your Own) 12:30 - 2:00 PM - Noon Lab 2:00 - 2:15 PM Closing / CEU's)
- Diagnostics, device repair, and tools needed. Includes repair manuals and guides.
- System hydraulics and the effect of a backflow prevention assembly (water hammer, thermal expansion, and pressure fluctuations)
- Advanced trouble shooting techniques
- Review USC test procedures
The Lab portion of this class demonstrates:
- Field checking the calibration of test kits
- USC field test procedures on the RPZ, DC and PVB
- Hands on practice with working assemblies and simulated failures
Testing equipment will be available, however, if you have your own equipment, please bring it with you.
