Classes are held Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Class size limited to first 15 registrants

The lecture portion of the class will cover:

• Plumbing Code requirements
• Hazard assessments and conducting
• Cross-connection control surveys
• Device identification and application
• USC field test procedures

The Lab portion will demonstrate:

• Field checking the calibration of the test kits
• USC field test procedure3s on the RPZ, DC, PVB, SVB
• Hands on assemblies working and simulated failures

This course is based on American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA) and University of Southern California (USC) guidelines and test procedures.

Completing this course, passing the written exam and the practical exam will certify you as a Backflow Assembly Tester and provide eligibility for registration with the Iowa Backflow Tester Certification Program, and/or certify you as a Nebraska Grade XI Water Operator.

Testing equipment will be available, however, if you have your own equipment, please bring it with you.
